This account was set up just to specifically give the Reference Desk of the ALA Library a LiveJournal.com account. It is not, nor should it be assumed or presumed to be, any kind of "official" American Library Association blog, web log, or online journal. ALA already has such blogs over at the ALA Weblog Service. And there's a comprehensive list of the Official American Library Association blogs over at ALA Blogs, RSS Feeds, and Wikis. Notice that this blog is not among them.
